My Show and Inspire Post at Marty's

Hello everyone...Ceekay from Thinkin' of Home here.  I am so excited to guest post at Marty's fabulous blog.

Last year I was faced with one of the biggest decorating challenges of my life.  My hubby and I downsized to a Doublewide Mobile Home.  After the panic subsided, I rolled up my sleeves and got to work making a home stuck in the 70's, our forever home.

We have replaced, painted, or updated everything except the tubs.  I hope you enjoy the tour.  Grandiose it isn't, but home and mortgage free....it is!!

Welcome to Our Home

My style is what I call Old World with a lot of Grandma's Attic mixed in!

We have a great room effect with the Kitchen, Dining Room and Living Room open to each other.

If you are ever in the Phoenix area, let me know.....Marty and I would love to do lunch with you....see, the table is all ready!

I really do love my black and cream kitchen.

My favorite touch is my shelves of vintage kitchen ware...

and my rolling pins....

Doing the Laundry is close....but filled with olden goodies...makes it bearable!

I hope you enjoyed the tour.  Please visit sometime at Thinkin' of Home.  I would love the company!

First Fall in Our Mobile Home

I will admit to being concerned.  How was I going to decorate for the Fall....everything is different....but my hubby got the tubs from storage and I started....and everything just fell into place.  I am very happy with how it turned out and actually now giving thought to what I might do for Christmas.

So....here is a little touch of Fall....hope you enjoy it!

Our Master Bedroom

Our room is a good size for a Mobile Home....thankfully, because our furniture is BIG!

We painted the paneling and added some moldings...that isn't quite finished....but we are getting there.  Hope you enjoy the lookie see!

My hubby's side of the bed....the book is a romance novel with my husband and I as the main characters.

I prayed and prayed that the chaise would fit...and it did!!...please overlook hubby's shoes!!

I tried several times to get this pic clear...but I think the light is messing me up...

Our college pics!!

I adore my lampshades in this room and I tried to get the color...they look creamy gold when off, but when on, they are rust....

My old trunk....there is a window right above this...and again, had trouble...but you get the idea...
Here you can see that the trim is not all done...

My side of the bed...

My collection of fancy boxes....

Does this help with the color??

Our wedding picture and a picture about 5 years ago on a cruise.  I love this picture...

This is on the door...

Nope, I do not have a door knob yet...

But I will soon!!
